The Beehive Pot Lid by Deadwood Gear Co. is a weight-saving upgrade to your ultralight backpacking cookpot. Not only is it about half the weight of the traditional TOAKS pot lid, but it is also transparent, allowing you to keep an eye on your water to know when it's boiling or to see how your food is cooking without taking off the lid every time (we know you get impatient and check every two seconds to see if it's finally boiling). Made with thermally insulating material, you can lift the lid using the small tab without burning your fingers.
Please Note:
- Designed and tested to withstand steam, boiling water, and the temperature of a metal cooking pot in use, but it is NOT flameproof and will be damaged if exposed directly to flame. The lid is designed to sit inside the diameter of the pot, so that this won't happen in normal operation.
- The lid is strong - easily supporting 40lbs - and durable, but it is still a piece of ultralight gear and should be treated as such - if you step on it, it will break!
- The lid is made with a slightly concave shape, and the bow can increase a little after the first few boils - this is normal and does not affect the fit, function, or durability of the lid.
